Many of us linger in self-imposed captivity. These cells are not located in some remote Californian outpost either; we carry them around with us wherever we go.
I'm having a ball. Have I ever bored you with the story of the London photographer that lost everything during the first recession? About 89? His studio, flat, car, girlfriend's flat, car, possibly his cat, might have even had to sell his record collection. He told me he went to one of those 'It will change your life things'. The on stage sage said, we invent problems to solve. We get more money, then we decide we need a bigger car, a bigger house, more expensive clothes, holidays, etc. As a result of buying these things we need to earn more money. So we have to work harder, longer hours. Unfortunately, It's a self-inflicted trap. However, buying these things, ironically, makes us feel in empowered. Yet, we're spiralling out of control. I wish I'd made that up. Andrew Moran. I hope he forgives me for sharing. We want bigger and better. It's in our nature. Not sure what the answer is. It's how we invented penicillin and pavements.
They are not called the trappings of life without reason.
We can end up the curators of our lives rather than participants....
Hope you are good Ivor

I learned the hard way to:
1 appreciate what you already have
2. If you're going to strive make sure it's for something worthwhile
3. Our kids aren't expressions of our success
4. You don't have to say anything. It's OK just to nod
Would be good to have a catch up soon buddy
